The title is based on a comment by one of my former supervisors to the effect that I was the workingest man he had ever seen, except...
I didn't actually hear him say it. Instead, it's a statement that one of my co-workers claimed he said. As for the possibility that my willingness to believe her is simply a case of overinflated self-importance, I was the only one of approximately thirty workers who hadn't stopped working early to go on break at the time he is claimed to have said it and it's consistent with other statements that I did hear him say.
As for the purpose of this blog, I wanted to chronicle my search for a new and (I hope) better job and, if at all possible, use it as the means to help me land one. In other words, anyone looking for a new employee who finds what I have written interesting, he or she is more than welcome to fill out the contact form (see button on top left corner of the blog marked "Contact").
